Samsung One UI 2.5 update tracker: device yet received

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story …….

The original story (published on August 22, 2020) is as follows:

At its latest UNPACKED event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The company has cut many corners with the standard Note 20, prompting many enthusiasts to write the device as a no-go. On the other hand, the Note 20 Ultra has a lot to offer.

In addition, Samsung surprised us all by announcing that the company will now provide 3 OS updates for some of its devices. This is a very important change that other Android OEMs should also adopt. Nevertheless, the company also showed features that come in its new skin.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra come pre-loaded with a UI 2.5. This new skin does not bring any major changes or improvements. Instead, it offers some new features such as the ability to wirelessly operate the Samsung Dex on an external display, among other useful additions.

Of course, not all Samsung phones will receive the One UI 2.5 update. With this in mind, we have already prepared a list of devices that may be eligible for One UI 2.5. Thankfully, it appears that many devices launched within the past year are getting new skin.

One UI 2.5 skin is based on Android 10, which is why many current devices are eligible for updates. In fact, the UI 2.5 update has already begun for devices in the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. Currently, users in the US and Europe are receiving it.

Like any other previous system update, One UI 2.5 Skin will not be released for all devices at the same time. In addition, the availability of updates will also vary by region. Thus, it can become a hassle for users to keep track of rollouts.

And as regular PiunikaWeb readers know, we make tracking updates a lot easier with our dedicated update trackers. So in this article, we will keep an eye on all the Samsung Galaxy devices that have taken the One UI 2.5 update based on Android 10.

Like the One UI 2.1 update, Samsung will not normally release beta updates to users before rolling out the update. So when the company decides to drop the new skin for a device, it will be in its stable form.

At the time of writing this, only the Galaxy S20 series received the update as we mentioned above. The Galaxy S10 Series and Note 10 Series may be next in line to receive updates as test builds have surfaced. That being said, stay tuned to know when the update is ready for your specific unit.
