The company launched Work.com for the vaccine platform to help deploy vaccines developed for various diseases, including the highly anticipated Kovid-19 under emergency development to cover the biggest global health crisis in a century. Many of the vaccines are included.
The platform will also be useful for coordinating flu shots and other measures, CEO Mark Benioff told CNBC’s Jim Kramer.
“We’re in a situation right now, Jim, where vaccination is one of the most important things for public health,” the Internet entrepreneur said in a “Mad Money” interview. “We have hundreds of new vaccines coming for Kovid. This will indeed be one of the biggest logistical and technology challenges in the history of the planet.”
As part of the company’s Customer360 platform, Salesforce said it designed Work.com for vaccine applications capable of coordinating the distribution of Kovid-19 vaccines to cater to billions of people worldwide . The program will also be useful for other endeavors as it features management of vaccine inventions, schedule appointments, monitoring the patient’s health status, among other duties.
“Salesforce is now manufacturing and distributing our new Work.com for vaccines, expanding our super successful Work.com product, which has helped many states, nations. [and] The companies succeed during the epidemic, ”Benioff said.
Months after the announcement of Work.com for the vaccine, the program was launched by the company to help get employees back to office as the country recovered from a brutal lockdown that threw the economy into recession. Ordered to stay home nationwide to prevent a deadly virus that is now linked to more than 200,000 US this year alone.
Wearing masks and out of social disturbances, public health officials say that a vaccine is the most effective way to protect public health and help society get to some new normal.
Drug makers such as Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are all in the running to develop a remedy in record time.
