The Rays were about to launch the first perfect combined game in MLB history on Sunday. Rays starter Ryne Stanek and left-hander Ryan Yarbrough put the first 24 Orioles in order before Hanser Alberto led the ninth with a single. Baltimore chased Yarbrough in the final inning, held on for one run and three hits before Tampa Bay closed the 4-1 victory.

MLB has not seen a perfect game since Felix Hernandez of Seattle accomplished the feat on August 15, 2012.
