Rachel Ray’s life was turned upside down in the summer after a fire in her New York home.
The celebrity chef shared personal footage of the aftermath of the devastating fire, which took place on August 9, and his Lake Luzern home looks nothing like it did before.
“9/14 on Monday – Rachel has never seen before personal footage of the damage done to her home since the fire last month. You don’t want to miss this emotional episode,” according to the caption posted on the video . Read the social media channel of her show.

“It was our bedroom and our library. And that was our bathroom and our dressing area,” she said in a clip posted on Instagram. The bones of the house barely stand in some parts, ”she says in the clip.
Ray; Her husband, John Cusimano; And his dog, Bella, was not fortunately harmed in the fire, but he “lost 15 years of memories; 40 years of notebooks, drawing, ideas, my life’s work.”
The 51-year-old Food Network star described how “it burned down in a few weeks, I think I’ve learned more. Today, we’re going to share what’s left of our house.”
When the incident occurred, Ray thanked the first responders.
“Thank you for being kind and compassionate to our local first responders and saving everything we could for our home. Grateful that my mother, my husband, my dogs… we are all well. These are the days when we should all be thankful for what we have, not what we have lost, ” She wrote. “… I * lost my phone (posting via a team member) Thanks for all the best wishes, concern and outreach, but can’t return texts and calls at the moment …!”

On August 22, officials announced that the fire was accidental and the fire started in the chimney. At the end of a private drive in a rural area about 60 miles (97 kilometers) north of Albany, the State Office for Fire Prevention and Control sent flames through the roof of the house.

Ray is perhaps best known for hosting a variety of cooking shows, including “30 Minute Meals” on Food Network, as well as his syndicated lifestyle talk show “Rachel Ray.”
