WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The state of Florida does not escape the impact of the winter weather that covers much of the United States.
Storms stretching from Idaho to Texas and Pennsylvania have delayed vaccine shipments heading to Florida.
Publix canceled its appointment window for the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday due to a lack of supply. The next scheduled appointment window will now be Friday morning at 7 a.m.

Publix said appointments scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday are not affected by this change.
“We know how important it is to administer this vaccine, so we deeply regret the need to cancel Wednesday’s scheduling event,” Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous said Tuesday. “Once an additional vaccine is received, we will announce the next opportunity to schedule an appointment for the vaccine.”
