PS5 Refill Updates at Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Sony, and More

It has been months since Sony released the Playstation 5, but many players yet They haven’t been able to get their hands on the coveted console, even at major retailers like Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, and Sony itself. If you’re one of the many people still desperate to get a new console, you already know the drill: You hear about a PS5 inventory drop (probably on Twitter), get your hopes up, click frantically, wait in a queue, and Instead of a PlayStation 5, you get the inevitable “out of stock” message. But don’t give up hope just yet! Inventory drops happen quite frequently and there are ways to improve your chances of snagging a console.

Our first tip: don’t wait until you hear about a PS5 restock; check the store inventory links yourself daily or even several times a day. (We have them all lined up below.) If you have a chance to find any PS5 availability, use as many web browsers and devices as you can. On a desktop, for example, you can open the retailer’s page in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. Then you could do the same on your phone and tablet. It’s like lottery tickets: the more you have, the better your chances of winning.

If you’re starting to break down and considering buying a PS5 right now, you can, but at the cost of some obscene markup on sites like eBay and StockX. On eBay, for example, we’ve seen PS5 priced well over $ 1,000. At this point, we still think the console is worth the wait and get at a tag price.

The PS5 is available in two versions: there is one $ 500 model with a Blu-ray drive and an otherwise identical $ 400 digital-only version with no disc slot. At this point, people are happy to get their hands on either one, but if you don’t have an optical disc library, for Blu-ray movies, used games, or old PS4 games – CNET recommends that go with the $ 400 version.
