Poiling, soot and even cigarette smoke can damage the skin, but none of these factors wears out as much as the use of makeup for long periods of the day.
The problem becomes greater when added to the lack of knowledge about the subject: the latest research on the subject by the British daily Daily Mail revealed that 30% of women have the habit of sleeping with makeup.
Student Barbara Bardella, 21, says the consequences of turning the day without wiping her face may not be good. In June of this year, she had a Tersol for sleeping without removing all her makeup. "When I woke up, I had mascara on the inner corner of my eye. I washed my face, but since I use mascara directly, I think it has been accumulating more and more. "
In August, she had the same problem due to excess oiliness. Because of this, he started to avoid the use of makes. "Every time I wear makeup and not the shot, my skin gets pure oil. This is a very serious problem because I use isotretinoin [para acne] and it disrupts the treatment, "says Barbara, who now reserves her makeup only for parties like parties.
Dermatologist Maria Graziela Paiva, who specializes in cosmiatry, says that because of the accelerated routines, many people end up not doing the correct cleaning of the face at the end of the day.
Lack of habit accumulates dead cells and ends up causing a number of problems: it aggravates acne, causes dry skin and accelerates aging. In more severe cases, it can develop into an infection, allergies, conjunctivitis or blepharitis, which are inflammation of the eyelids that can cause eyelashes to fall.
"Mascara forms a kind of glue, especially those that are waterproof. They fix at the root of the eyelash. We have an epidermal renewal, which happens independently of us, but this regeneration of the skin can be stagnant with so much product, "he explains.
If you develop into an infection, the problem can lead to blindness. "It is an extreme case, which can occur due to corneal impairment," says ophthalmologist Ana Cristina Fernandes Modé. She points out that the problem can also be caused by makeup sharing and the use of substandard or substandard products that contain chemicals such as lead and heavy metals.
Not cleaning the face can also generate acne cosmetic as the buildup of makeup clogs the pores, causing the appearance of pimples, blackheads and signs.
Face irritations can lead to the onset of blemishes, called post-inflammatory hyperchromia, especially in people with more sensitive skin. "If the person does not get sunscreen, this stain ends up fixing and it can take months to leave," recalls Maria Graziela.
Besides causing a lot of problems, not removing the makeup at night avoids the renewal of the skin, since it is during this period that the metabolism of the skin cells is more active, absorbing the nutrients better.
STEP BY STEP OF CLEANING
Dr. Graziela says there are four steps to maintaining face care. The first is to clean it with an ophthalmologist tested, especially in the eyelash area.
"Biphasic, water and oil deodorants are very good for dry and sensitive skin and for the removal of mascara. The micellar waters have versions for oily and sensitive skin, "he says.
As many of these deodorants end up leaving waste, such as silicone, you need to then wash the skin with a neutral soap or the type indicated for the skin of the person – oily or dry.
The third step is to use a toner to prepare the skin. Finally, she recommends passing a moisturizer that can be absorbed through the skin.
People older or with problems like blemishes and wrinkles should pass their treatment cream prescribed by the dermatologist over the moisturizer. This is because the absorption of skin care products, such as acids and bleaches, is less when the skin is still not clean.
