Former guitarist for the iconic British band The Smiths, Johnny Marr will perform solo in Lisbon next November. The 54-year-old musician from Ardwick, Manchester, will be presenting his latest album Call The Comet at the Super Bock in Stock festival, which succeeds Vodafone Mexefest and will be held at Liberdade, in Lisbon

Johnny Marr is the main highlight of the first confirmations of the Lisbon festival, which will take place on 23 and 24 November. Born in 2008 as Super Bock in Stock, later renamed Vodafone Mexefest, this festival is divided by several buildings on Avenida da Liberdade. They are the Manoel de Oliveira and Montepio halls of the Cinema São Jorge, the Recreational Coliseum, the Tivoli BBVA Theater, the Foz Palace, the SBSR Radio in the Rossio Railway Station, the IP, the EPAL Garage, the Independence Palace and the House of the Alentejo
In addition to Johnny Marr, American musician Elvis Perkins, British Charles Watson, Canadian duo The Harpoonist & The Ax Murderer and Portuguese Conan Osiris were confirmed for the next edition of the Lisbon Festival. Passes that guarantee access to the concerts of the two days of festival cost € 40 until August 30 (inclusive). From 31 August, the cost will be € 45 until the eve of Super Bock in Stock. On festival days the pass will cost € 50.
