A poll released Thursday by the Alliance for Youth Action found 47 percent of Democratic or left-leaning voters in the 18-25 age group who saw Trump campaign ads on popular social media platforms such as Tickcock and Instagram within the last month .
In contrast, only 21 percent of Gen Z, Democratic or left-leaning voters saw Biden campaign digital ads on the same platform within the last month.
New data suggests that the presidential campaign is a major push for young liberal voters.
Gaps existed between the two campaigns for Democratic or left-leaning voters between the ages of 26–32 and 33–39.
Twenty-four percent of voters between the ages of 26–32 said they were digitally contacted by the Trump campaign. Sixteen percent of the same demographic stated that they had been contacted by Biden.
Seventeen percent of democratic or unfriendly voters between the ages of 33–39 said they were digitally contacted by the Trump campaign, as opposed to the 13 percent of voters who were contacted by Biden.
“This is not a normal youth election. These are the voters who are chasing Vice President Biden, ”the group’s executive director Sarah Audello told POLITICO in a statement.
“This year, voters are motivating young voters to vote and vote,” he said. “But Vice President Biden has a lot of work to do to earn his vote.”
Young voter demographics tend to vote less reliably in elections but were seen as an important factor in both former President Obama’s (D) general election victories.

It also won 51 percent of voters between the ages of 30–49.
The Alliance for Youth Action Poll surveyed 1,241 Democratic and Democrat-leaning independent voters between 18 July and 18 July 20. The margin of error for voting is 3.2 percentage points.
