"Data-reactid =" 23 "> On Sunday, a witness re-posted a two-minute video on Facebook showing a man who opposes two officers from the St. Louis County Police Department in Clayton, Missouri. In the image, an officer is seen grabbing a man's arm, dressed in denim shorts, a black T-shirt and a red cap.The man is also carrying a baby.
The video, which was apparently edited in several places, cuts off another officer with a Taser gun, which also tries to contain the father.
An external witness orders the officer to release the man. "He has his son with him, brother," he says. The father's hat falls from his head when he is forced to grass. "Get off that baby!", A woman is heard screaming in the video.
As the anger in social networks grew, the police department published developments on Facebook, and wrote: "We want to tackle a video that caught our attention yesterday, it is edited selectively and only shows parts of what happened."
The publication details that on the same day, a 28-year-old woman had called the police to report that her baby's father had assaulted her, damaged her possessions and left with her son. When the agents found the father at a bus stop with the baby, they tried to stop him for an investigation, but he held the baby between him and the officers.
A backup officer (probably holding the Taser gun in the video) told the man to stop resisting but he did not listen. "The officers used the least amount of force possible to force the suspect to comply," says the post.
The father was charged with domestic assault, property damage, arrest for resistance and "numerous" pending court orders. Afterwards, the child was examined by the paramedics and returned to his mother.
"We want the community to be aware that our department investigates the incidents in their entirety and does not limit that investigation to what parts may or may not have been recorded on video …" declares the Facebook publication.
