Battery swollen in the gadget space is a serious matter, but we usually only see this phenomenon on older devices. Unfortunately, it seems that Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are also suffering from this problem.
Android police A Pixel phone community thread full of Pixel 3 series owners noticed complaining about a battery swelling issue. In particular, people are finding that the phone’s back covers are being closed due to this issue. Some users have discovered the problem only after getting their phone out of a case, so if you have gotten a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL in one case, you may want to check it out as well. The phone also has problems with charging wirelessly, but it is also a security issue and presents an IP rating moot. So what is Google doing about it?
Some customers are reporting that Google is refusing to fix the devices because they are out of warranty, while others say that Google still swaps the phone. The enormity of the search seems to have remained a one-time exception only in the case of the latter according to the thread and red thread of the community. A Pixel community user also stated that Google offered to replace the phone, even if they bought it second-hand through an auction website.
In addition to failing to charge Pixel 3 devices wirelessly, some users also saw taillamp signs such as phones slipping from the Pixel Stand charger in the phone, case buttons not aligned with phone buttons, rapid battery drain, and general overheating being done.
