The popular toy arrived with its first plastic potato body in 1964.

Mr Potato Head continued to evolve over the years and took on other forms like pirate, mermaid, rock star, construction worker, and Santa Claus.

It has also branched out into themed characters like Darth Tater from Star Wars and Spiderman Spider Spud.

In addition to the signature toy, there are puzzles, board games and video games from the brand, among other toys with potato themes.
