Pfizer closes COVID-19 vaccine production line, new video shows

Pfizer has released footage of the potential coronovirus Pfizer vaccine shutting down the production line – as the drug giant aims to have 100 million doses ready by the end of the year.

The Manhattan-based company told the Mail on Sunday that it had already made “several hundred thousand doses” of the drug as it prepares for emergency use in the US by November.

The firm’s UK boss, Ben Osborne, also told the paper that scientists in its main British lab have also discovered drugs that could provide a potentially complete cure for Kovid-19, as opposed to just a preventive vaccine is.

Osborne said the company was “at risk and in a big way” to build its existing vaccine candidate’s vast reserves in Belgium.

In the Mail’s financial site, This Is Money, he said, “The hope here is that we essentially come up with a drug that disrupts the virus and ultimately prevents the patient’s condition from deteriorating.”

“It was great to see the first bottle coming out of the manufacturing line. It just brings a tremendous smile to my face, to see that all this work actually happens as a product, ”he said.

But “we can only go as fast as science allows us,” he emphasized.

Pfizer hopes to know whether the vaccine works by the end of this month, but the company still has to prove that the shot is safe and can be manufactured properly to seek the so-called Emergency Use Authority , CEO Albert Borla said.

If he is safe, he expects that he will make emergency use of his company in the US in the third week of November.

“We are working at the speed of science,” he said.
