A Pennsylvania girl is demanding solutions after she says her 12-year-old Bichon was killed by one other canine in PetSmart’s grooming space. 

Betty Miller of Scranton, Pa., stated she dropped Brewster off for a grooming appointment at a Dickson City Petsmart, WNEP-TV reported. Shortly after dropping him off, she bought a name that Brewster was taken to a Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center after being attacked by one other canine. The facility tried to resuscitate Brewster, however efforts had been unsuccessful, WNEP-TV reported. 

“He was loving,” Miller instructed the station. “He was gentle. He was funny. He was like a toy, and he loved everyone.”

Miller stated PetSmart’s company workplace didn’t attain out to her household following the incident, and hopes that shifting ahead there are extra security protocols in place so one other canine would not meet Brewster’s destiny. 

“We called corporate,” Miller instructed the station. “They did not reach out to us, and I was very angry about that. Why would you want to bring a pit bull past a small dog who’s really just bait? He was bait.”

Petsmart stated in an announcement that it is investigating the “tragic accident” to see whether or not any insurance policies or procedures weren’t adopted, the Associated PRess reported.
