Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was accused of misconduct after referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz sent him to the stands during Tuesday's loss to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
The city lost 2-1 at Etihad Stadium due to goals in the second half from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, who completed a 5-1 aggregate win for Jurgen Klopp's team.
Chasing an unlikely reappearance after a 3-0 setback at Anfield last week, Guardiola named a line of attack – and the hosts led the night through Gabriel Jesus in two minutes.

Wave after wave of new attacks during the first half proved fruitless, however, and the city chief faced his compatriot Lahoz on the field at halftime over Leroy Sane taking a goal discarded for offside. The replays showed that Liverpool midfielder James Milner played the ball in the direction of the German end.
Guardiola's UEFA background sheet includes two infractions of the organization's disciplinary rules: "dismissal from the bench" and "improper conduct of the coach".
BT Sport after the game, the city manager spoke severely of the office of Mateu Lahoz.
"I said [Sane’s effort] was a goal, I did not insult him, I was polite, he was right, but Mateu Lahoz is a special guy, he likes to be different, he likes to be special," he said.
"I know what happened in Monaco last season, in 1-1, with an incredible penalty [not given to] Sergio Aguero. " He is special. When everyone sees things, he likes to decide otherwise. I did not say an incorrect word "
