Patrick Mahomes, chiefs get Super Bowl rings – then QB proposes girlfriend for long

Just call him “Lord of the Rings”.

Kansas City’s premier quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the team received the Super Bowl ring on Tuesday night at Arrowhead Stadium, reminiscent of their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in February.

Then shortly after, Mahomes gave another giant rock to his longtime girlfriend – now fiancée – Brittany Matthews.

According to social media posts, the 24-year-old Mahomes proposed to Matthews, who appeared in a press box at the stadium after the ring-filled ceremony, posting the caption “Ring Sjan” in an Instagram story.

“It happened today,” Matthews wrote in a separate Instagram story that showed an impressive floral arrangement inside a room in the stadium. The proposal features huge letters lit by different lights, spelled: “WILL YOU MARRY ME.”

Matthews also shared Mahomes’ Instagram story, which showed him wearing a giant diamond engagement ring around his finger that was the size of one of his knuckles.

According to the Kansas City Star, the pair dated when they met each other while attending high school in Whitehouse, Texas, according to the Kansas City Star when Matthews was a junior and Mahomes a perimeter.

According to paper information, friends who went to school with him called Matthews “his rock”.

Mahomes, 24, who is now a championship-winning quarterback, leaves no expense with the ring. Eventually, in July, he and the chief agreed to an extension of a 10-year contract that was valued at $ 503 million, making it the richest deal in sports history. The deal also included $ 477 million in the guaranteed mechanism.

Earlier in the evening, the chiefs received their Super Bowl LIV Championship rings on the turf at the stadium in a slightly delayed and private ceremony due to the coronovirus epidemic. Mahomes, adjusting his mask, placed the video in the ring on his finger.

The video on the team’s Twitter account read the caption, “Find someone you see in the Super Bowl ring of @PatrickMahomes.”

Other players were also seen holding an impressive piece of jewelry at their fingertips. Produced by Jostons, the Rings feature the Chiefs logo as well as hundreds of diamonds, including 60 in the arrowheads, representing 60 seasons of team history.

The ceremony took place nearly seven months after the Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20 to claim the franchise’s first Super Bowl title in 50 years.
