MABANK, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – Police announced on Thursday, November 5, that they arrested D’Anton, 18, during the shooting of Hollywood actor Eddie Hasel, 30.
Anton’s bond is set at $ 500,000 bond.

Detectives say Hassell was a random robbery and shooting in an apartment complex in the Grand Prairie.

Hasel was born in Corsicana, but grew up in the Mabunk area, where his family still lives.
From his Hollywood acting career to skating and most recently surfing, his parents say he was a man of many talents.
“In Eddie’s 30 years, he lived life,” said his mother, Sandy Hassell. “He has done.”
She could not be the producer. At every step of the way. They shared an unbreakable bond.
“I called her every night to tell her good night and I loved her,” she said. “I believe he said he was shot at 1:50 am. I spoke to him at 12:45 am and the last thing he told me was ‘Happy Halloween, Mama. I love you.’ My life changed forever because someone did something stupid. For nothing and took it live. “
“What kind of people we are we can forgive this man, but I think he needs his time for the rest of his life.” “He took my son.
“Not only from us, but from the world,” Sandy said. “Not without reason.”
Throughout his life, Hassell touched many people and in the days following his death, his family received an outpost of love and support.
“What happened to him was insensitive,” Sandy said. “He had a future.” Things were there for him. He was a good kid and everyone speaks his heart. He had a good heart. “
Hussels are leaning on their family and faith during this incredibly difficult time.
In the 30 years of his short life, Eddie appeared in dozens of films and TV shows, but was probably best known for the 2010 Oscar-nominated film “The Kids Are All Right” and the TV show “Surface”.
One of his last films, “Bomb City”, was filmed in Dallas.
