Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will host 10 shows as host of ‘Jeopardy!

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns to “Jeopardy!” stage in April.

Rodgers, after revealing that he will guest-star on the popular trivia game show last month, will have a 10-episode season beginning April 5, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Rodgers will follow Dr. Oz as the guest host of the show, something “Jeopardy!” it’s been doing since beloved host Alex Trebek died in November. CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie, journalist Katie Couric, 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker, actress Mayim Bialik, “Jeopardy!” Legend Ken Jennings and the show’s executive producer, Mike Richards, will also host episodes in the coming months.

Rodgers revealed his host job on “The Pat McAfee Show” last month. “

“One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek. Being able to be at Jeopardy years ago… They are doing some guest hosting venues and it will be released here very soon, but I have a chance to be one of those.

“I am excited about that opportunity.”

Aaron Rodgers won ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ in 2015

Rodgers is a perfect fit for the show, considering he’s a former champion himself.

Rodgers earned $ 50,000 for charity while appearing on the show’s celebrity edition in 2015, beating Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary and astronaut Mark Kelly. He is also a huge fan of Trebek and only had great things to say about him after his death in November.

“It’s safe to say I was blown away,” Rodgers said in November of his encounter with Trebek on the show. “I was telling one of our coaches today as we talked about it. There have been a few times in my life where someone has dazzled me, and I understand maybe what it feels like, to a lesser degree, when someone knows me, and that’s what I think gives me good perspective with those interactions.

“I was so excited, trying to stay calm and act like it wasn’t that important to me on the inside.”

Shailene Woodley confirms engagement

Finally, the news has been confirmed directly at the source.

Actress Shailene Woodley, speaking on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Monday night, confirmed that she is in fact engaged to Rodgers.

“Yes, we are engaged,” Woodley said. “But for us, it’s not new news, you know? So it’s kind of funny. Everyone right now is going crazy and we’re thinking, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.

Rodgers came out of nowhere during his MVP speech and blurted out that he was engaged, though he didn’t say to whom. Rumors then quickly swirled that the “Big Little Lies” actress was his fiancée.

Although she is marrying one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Woodley actually knows very little about the game.

“We met during this crazy and crazy time and all the stadiums that he played in were closed, so I have yet to go to a football game,” he said. “Before I met him, I had never seen a football game. I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially Americans. He was never really on my radar.

“When we met, too, I knew he was a soccer player, but I didn’t know what kind of soccer player he was. And I keep learning constantly … I don’t know him as a soccer player. I know him as, like, the nerd who wants to introduce ‘Jeopardy!’ That’s the guy I know. “
