The OnePlus 5T, it's safe to say, it's a pretty clean phone. I have used it for a while and if I had to summarize it in a few words, I would simply say: "It just works". But, of course, there will be some of you, including those who recently bought OnePlus 5, who will ask: "Is it worth the update / promotion?" For those who already own the OnePlus 5, I would say, "You should hold onto it a little longer." For others looking to buy a new phone and are willing to spend around 35,000 rupees, he would say: "The OnePlus 5T is the closest you can get to delivering a premium star experience at half the cost."
OnePlus 5T is not perfect. He could have done it with better cameras. I could have done it with a little waterproofing. He could have done it with some stereo speakers. I could have done it with some originality in the design, yes, the OnePlus 5T blatantly copies the Oppo R11S. But if you ask me, at your price point, it really does not matter. This is because the OnePlus 5T, when considered as a complete package, simply works. Just as OnePlus 5 did, in the day (intentional play on words). I will go so far as to say that the OnePlus 5 is still a fairly clean phone, so I think that if you are someone who owns it you have absolutely no reason to update.
So, why does the OnePlus 5T exist?
The OnePlus 5T is, in fact, a mid-cycle update of the original OnePlus 5. It exists so that OnePlus can offer more to buyers, without having to launch another flagship phone this year. After all, the company has reiterated over and over again that it would only release a flagship phone every year.
However, in retrospect, it seems that OnePlus now has two flagship phones: OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5. But, It's not that simple. On the one hand, OnePlus has suspended the OnePlus 5 so you will find it on Amazon India and in stores only until stocks run out.
The OnePlus 5T, more importantly, is an update and a testament to OnePlus's advanced thinking philosophy. It is simply the OnePlus 5 with a tight design and tight cameras. There are also some other minor changes, but in general, the OnePlus 5T is still the OnePlus 5, only larger (with the best screen in its clbad) and with an improved dual camera system. The OnePlus 5T takes advantage of the winning formula of the OnePlus 5 and tries to improve it even more: and achieves most of the things while doing it.
OnePlus' fascination with launching a T-upgrade began last year with the OnePlus 3T. The main reason for its existence was the launch of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor. OnePlus wanted to offer buyers a powerful giant. The OnePlus 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 was not that phone. That's where the OnePlus 3T was born. The company, in addition, also evaluated the battery a little to make all that power worthwhile. The OnePlus 3T, for some reason, costs more than the OnePlus 3, so OnePlus continued to sell both phones together in markets such as India.
OnePlus's fascination for launching a T-upgrade began last year with the OnePlus 3T
This year's T update has happened, so OnePlus can offer buyers the seemingly new Industry trend: a screen without bevel. It was surprising that the OnePlus 5 did not include one in the first place, but what happened happened. If you are one of those who are interested in the new trend of the industry, I am pleased to inform you that the OnePlus 5 is a phone with full screen and almost no bezel, as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the iPhone X.
The more appearance surprising of the OnePlus 5T, if you have not already guessed, is your design. The OnePlus 5T is an edge-to-edge phone without a bezel, which means that just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the Apple iPhone X, the new OnePlus phone has an unusually high screen and an unusual 18-inch aspect ratio. : 9 and a screen-body ratio of more than 80 percent. The OnePlus 5T is a 6.01-inch phone, but because OnePlus has shaved much of the upper and lower bevels, as well as the side bezels, the phone occupies a smaller space. It feels smaller in the hands.
The screen resolution of the OnePlus 5T, however, is still Full-HD or 1080p (1080 x 2160 pixels) which may seem to be missing, but it's actually quite good. This is because OnePlus is using an optical AMOLED screen built by Samsung in the OnePlus 5T, with Corning Gorilla Glbad 5 on top, and offers up to four different color modes, including DCI-P3, to play. Only it is not necessary. The OnePlus 5T, in its default screen configuration, appears as the best in the industry and has viewing angles to match them, if it does not defeat them directly. The on-board reading mode of the OnePlus 5T when activated, meanwhile, causes the phone to mimic a Kindle e-reader that is great for people who like to read a lot on their mobile devices.
Because OnePlus 5T is a full-screen phone, OnePlus had to change the position of the fingerprint scanner. It is located on the back, which in my opinion is the best possible location for a fingerprint reader. It still has a ceramic coating so it does not scratch as easily when tested.
Moving on to another part, the second reason behind the existence of the OnePlus 5T is the camera (s). The dual-camera system in the OnePlus 5 features "a 16-megapixel custom camera, compatible with a 20-megapixel telephoto camera." Together, they are the highest resolution dual-camera system in a smartphone today, which It allows you to take very clear pictures, "says OnePlus, or rather once said.
While the 16-megapixel camera – Sony IMX 398 – features a large aperture f / 1.7, the secondary 20-megapixel camera features an f / 2.6 aperture. The dual camera system onboard the OnePlus 5 is capable of taking pictures with shallow depth of field or bokeh effect through a specialized portrait mode. There is also a Pro Mode dedicated for professional users. The system is also capable of recording 4K videos and shooting in RAW file format. Unfortunately, the OnePlus 5 rear camera system is not badisted with optical Image Stabilization.
But is it good? Yes and no. On the one hand, it is (was) the best OnePlus camera phone to date and, on the other hand, it is almost the average compared to the first level competition. The 16 megapixel main trigger on the phone takes good pictures in good light, but deceptive and dimly lit photos often leave you asking for more. As for the 20MP telephoto lens, well, it's disappointing to say the least, even in zoom shots that are marketed a lot. In addition, the USP function of the dual system, also known as portrait mode, is also a mixed game and above all a matter of success or accident.
The OnePlus 5T has been designed to correct the deficiencies of the OnePlus 5 camera. It seems that it is. It still has a dual camera system on the back with the same primary sensor and still without OIS. But the secondary sensor has been changed to a larger lens (f / 1.7) with the same focal length (as the main lens) which means it is no longer telephoto. The second sensor jumps into the game only in low light scenarios and does so automatically, which means it can not control this, and it can not know when the secondary sensor has done its job. But it's good? Yes and no. On the one hand, it is the best OnePlus camera phone to date and, on the other hand, it is almost the average compared to the first level competition. OnePlus still has a lot to do. Hopefully the OnePlus 6 is better.
The rest of the deal is maintained. The OnePlus 5T, like the OnePlus 5, comes with a fully metallic body, the OnePlus 5 Alert Slider, which is basically a toggle quick notifications (all, priority and none) to quickly order notifications for your application, port USB Type-C for charging and data synchronization purposes, a downward-facing speaker, a 3.5 mm audio jack and dual SIM (nano-SIM) support.
Just like the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T works with octa to 2.45 GHz Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The phone works with Android Ogatgen OS based on Ogatgen and is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery with Dash OnePlus charging support.
The OnePlus 6T may not happen, but you can not be sure
Someone took Reddit recently to ask OnePlus, "Should we expect a model? T? Every year from now? "
This is what OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said:
"We will make a second T device if there is enough new technology that is useful for our users." So far, we have not yet decided whether we have enough updates next year for a T-device. "
While OnePlus says it will not only make a T phone for the sake of that, you can not be sure what next year it's booked for. The OnePlus 5T may have been hard to imagine last year, and here it is. The same is true with the OnePlus 6T as well. The OnePlus 3T annoyed many users / fans / enthusiasts. The OnePlus 5T may have bothered many more right now. Even more, because in India, the OnePlus 5T costs as much as the OnePlus 5: 32,999 rupees for the base storage version of 6GB RAM / 64GB and Rs 37,999 for the higher 8GB RAM / 128GB storage version.
