MIAMI – Ohio State started defensive fixture Tommy Toggia, defensive end Tyreke Smith and kicker Blake Hubill will miss the College Football Playoff National Championship against Alabama on Monday night.

Saban said, “This decision is going to be up to him.”

In a message posted on Instagram, Haubeil stated that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic but is extremely nervous to miss the game.

“I have spent the last four months making sacrifices, and have not seen family and friends at the same time. … Knowing that I don’t have the opportunity to give any more to do so tonight, most viscerally One is – I have ever written to provoke emotions, ”he wrote.

Without Togia, look for Jaron Cage to increase playing time. Backup Ty Hamilton is also unavailable. Tyler will be the next player on Friday along with Smith.

The Buckeyes will turn to new Jake Seabert to kick. Seibert has made 13 extra point attempts and missed his only field goal attempt.
