Officials say the star attraction of Florida leads the worker to his death

Officials said a worker has died after falling from a Starfare attraction in Orlando.

According to Orange County Fire Rescue, the incident occurred at ICON Park on International Drive shortly before 8 am. The worker was about 200 feet in the air when he fell.

He said the man was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The Starflyer at ICON Park is said to be 450 feet tall and is the highest swing ride in the world. The company behind the attraction operates Magic’s attractions in Magic Midway and Old Town.

John Stein, sales and marketing director for the attraction, told Fox 35 that the ride undergoes maintenance and safety inspections daily. This incident was going on when the accident took place.

He said, “This is a shock and we are saddened by it, anytime there is an injury or something of this nature. It is very sad. But we are supporting each other.”
