October 17 NH DHHS COVID-19 update: 112 new positive results with 21 in Manchester; 1 death notice

Concord, NH – On Saturday, October 17, 2020, DHHS announced 112 new positive test results for COVID-19, a daily PCR test positivity rate of 1.2 percent. Today’s results include 81 people who tested positive by PCR test and 31 who tested positive by antigen test. Now 937 current COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in New Hampshire.

Many cases are still under investigation. Additional information from the ongoing investigation will be included in future COVID-19 updates. Twenty-one people are under 18 years of age, and the remaining 55 percent are women and 45 percent are men. The new cases are those of Manchester and Nashua (12), Strafford (4), Grafton (3), Belknap (2), Coos (2), Carroll (1), other than Rockingham (24), Merrimack (22), Hillsborough County . , Cheshire (1), and Sullivan (1) counties, and Manchester (21) and Nashua (12) cities. The county of residence is being scheduled for seven new cases.

No new hospital cases were reported. There are currently 18 people hospitalized with COVID-19. There was no identification of risk factors in three of the new cases. Community-based broadcasting continues in the state and has been identified in all counties. Among those who are fully at risk, most cases are either related to the outbreak or have close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.

DHHS has also announced an additional death related to COVID-19.

In New Hampshire since the onset of the epidemic, there have been a total of 9,625 cases of COVID-19, of which 761 (8%) are hospitalized.
