Police are searching for six suspects who punched an Asian woman multiple times for not wearing a mask and called her an ‘anti-Asian statement’ about coronavirus in a subway train.

At 1.45 pm on December 17, the group – three women and three men – 32, approached the woman, 32, in a southbound A train at Manhattan’s West 4th Street station.

Police confronted him for allegedly not wearing a mask and gave him anti-Asian statements about the virus, according to ABC.

Their verbal attack became physical and the victim was punched in the face several times before the group fled.

The victim was left with injuries, but refused therapy.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.

On Sunday, police shared four surveillance photos of the six suspects, sought help to identify them and awarded up to $ 2,500.
