NYC to terminate Trump contract after Capitol Rebellion

NEW YORK (AP) – New York City terminated a trade contract with President Donald Trump after last week’s insurance at the US Capitol, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday.

The Trump Organization is under contract with the city to operate two ice rinks and a carousel in Central Park as well as a golf course in the Bronx.

De Blasio said that the Trump Organization profits about $ 17 million every year from those sites.

“I’m here to announce that New York City is breaking all contracts with the Trump Organization,” De Blasio said.

An email seeking comment was sent to the Trump Organization on Wednesday.

This is the latest example of how a January 6 violation by violent Trump supporters is affecting the Republican president’s business interests.

America’s PGA voted on Sunday to take the PGA Championship away from its New Jersey golf course next year, a move that came after social media platform Trump’s accounts were disabled and Shopify took down online stores linked to it took.
