Dungari will be paired with Tirico and Catherine Tappan as lead analysts to call the Fighting Irish Games. The crew will include new NBC Sports host and Notre Dame alum Jack Collinsworth, who will host pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage of NBC Sports and will be joined by Heiman Trophy Dog Fluggy in select weeks.
Terrico returns to NBC as the voice of Notre Dame football and joins Dungey for the first time, having played quarterback at the University of Minnesota from 1973–76. Dungey has also been an analyst on NBC Football Night in America Has worked as an analyst since 2009 and at several NFL games, including the Thanksgiving primetime game. Tapen returns for his seventh season as a side reporter, while Flutie sends this season from the booth to the studio for a select few weeks.
Five of Notre Dame’s six home games will be broadcast on NBC. The slate for the Notre Dame-South Florida game Saturday, September 19 is the exception, as it will be broadcast on the USA Network, a member of the NBC family network.
The Irish return home for two primetime games at the House, when Rocken hosted Florida State on Saturday, 10 October. There is a competition with Lewisville at the Home Dock, set for 2 October at 2:30 pm ET.
For the first time since 7 November 1979, the Clemson Tigers will be brought to the Notre Dame Stadium. The matchup will kick off at 7:30 pm ET, with NBC pregame coverage starting at 7 pm ET. The team last met in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl in 2018.
The slate of the house concluded with a 5 December trip from Syracuse. A kickoff time remains to be determined.
