Nomadland Wins Best Picture Award at 2021 Producers Guild Awards


Current Oscar Favorite Nomadland took home the Producers Guild Award for Best Picture at tonight’s ceremony, almost ensuring that film’s victory in the same category at the upcoming Academy Awards (the winner of the PGA Best Picture has accurately predicted the Best Picture Oscar winner 21 times in the last 31 years). Other winners of this year’s PGAs included Soul Y My octopus teacher. Schitt’s cove continued its dominance of the awards season with a win for Best Television Episodic (Comedy), and The Queen’s Gambit picked up a trophy in the same Drama category. Last week tonight with John Oliver also scored a victory, along with The last Dance and live recording of Hamilton. Check out the full list of winners below.
