MDS is widening one lead, and chewing in another.

He put in a solid performance in Week 14, receiving 12 straight games, and spanning 11.

I went 12–4 straight up on 10–4. This has allowed him to double his lead from two games to four, 134–76 to 130–80.

Against the spread, I went 8-8 to her 11-5. Now I lead, 97-103-5 to 87-117-3.

For this week’s picks, scroll down.

Chargers on Raiders (+3.5)

Take MDS: The Raiders’ playoff should remain in contention in the final Thursday night game of the season, with a win over a Chargers team that has already ended playoff contention.

MDS Pick: Raiders 21, Chargers 13.

Florio’s takeCan Raiders Really Blow This One? If there was anyone other than the rival Chargers, I’d say, “Yes.”

Florio’s pick: Raiders 27, Chargers 20.

Bill in the Broncos (-6.5)

Take MDS: The first Saturday game of the season should be billed and should continue its march to the playoffs with a win over the Broncos team which has already ended with playoff contention.

MDS Pick: Bill 27, Broncos 17.

Florio’s take: Buffalo continues to prove that he is more than ready for a place in the playoffs.

Florio’s pick: Bills 30, Broncos 17.

Panthers in Packers (+8.5)

Take MDS: The Panthers are hard to imagine, even keeping it close. Aaron Rodgers will receive a prime time game Saturday to show his MVP candidacy.

MDS Pick: Packers 33, Panthers 16.

Florio’s take: A pair of consecutive prime-time games require Green Bay to focus on the Panthers and not advance to the Titans.

Florio’s pick: Packers 37, Panthers 23.

Buccaneers in Falcons (-6)

Take MDS: The Bucs are by far the most influential playoff contenders, but they usually find a way to beat mediocre teams in front of them, and the “mediocre” describe the Falcons very well.

MDS Pick: Buccaneers 27, Falcons 17.

Florio’s take: The Bucks would be a dangerous team in a game sandwiching a game with Detroit, preventing an unexpected collapse in a pair of games against Atlantis.

Florio’s pick: Buccaneers 31, Falcons 20.

49 (-3) in Cowboys

Take MDS: 49er favors, but they are such an injury-prone team that I have a tough time against anyone at the moment.

MDS Pick: Cowboys 21, 49er 17.

Florio’s take: The mighty have fallen, and they cannot rise.

Florio’s pick: 49ers 27, Cowboys 23.

Lion in the Titans (+10.5)

Take MDS: The Lion are playing tough for interim head coach Darrell Bevell, but the Titans are very good for him. Watch Derrick Henry run for 100 yards as the Titans take an early lead and grind it out.

MDS Pick: Titans 21, Lions 16.

Florio’s take: Can Derrick Henry catch Eric Dickerson? The Lions won’t do much to slow Henry down; Not surprised if he gets close to another 200-yard day.

Florio’s pick: Titans 31, Lions 10.

Texas at Colts (+7)

Take MDS: The Colts are having a better season for quarterback Phillip River, getting credit for that, and they should look like a big back against a Texas team that looked like last week, as of right now this season has given.

MDS Pick: Colts 31, Texas 17.

Florio’s take: The Colts will be a tough team to beat in January, even though there is still a chance that they will not get there.

Florio’s pick: Colts 34, Texas 24.

Patriots in Dolphins (+2.5)

Take MDS: The Patriots are out of contention for the first time since 2000, the AFC East before the last week of the season, the year Tom Brady became their starting quarterback. The Dolphins are now just the better team.

MDS Pick: Dolphins 24, Patriots 20.

Florio’s take: Patriots rarely get a chance to play the role of spoiler. They hope not to make it a habit.

Florio’s pick: Patriots 20, Dolphins 17.

Bear on Vikings (+3)

Take MDS: Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had a big game last week, but it was the last hurricane. He will struggle in Minnesota, as the Vikings conform to their playoff expectations.

MDS Pick: Vikings 24, Bear 17.

Florio’s take: It’s an elimination game in Minnesota, even though the winner will eventually get a fork stuck in them, too.

Florio’s pick: Bear 23, Vikings 20.

Seahawks in Washington (-5.5)

Take MDS: Washington has a huge lead over the NFC East – so big that they will remain favorites to win the division even after losing this game.

MDS Pick: Seahawk 20, Washington 10.

Florio’s take: I keep picking up against Washington to win and to my delight, Washington keeps winning. Let’s ride it.

Florio’s pick: Seahawk 24, Washington 17.

Jaguar (+13.5) in Ravens

Take MDS: I wouldn’t be surprised if Rance gets a bit lethargic after Monday night’s big win, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Gardner Minsage would play well for the Jaguars. I’m not picking up the upset, but I think it would be a closer game than the point spread suggestions.

MDS Pick: Ravens 24, Jaguar 20.

Florio’s take: The frustration looks good on the Ravens, and it could really prepare them to win a playoff game, if they get there.

Florio’s pick: Ravens 38, Jaguars 20.

Jets at Rams (+17)

Take MDS: The Jets are once again very big dalits. They were 37 when they were 20-point underdogs against the majors, who lost to 26, and when they were 16.5-point underdogs against the Seahawks. I see them again losing against the spread.

MDS Pick: Ramus 35, Jets 10.

Florio’s take: The 2008 Lions and 2017 Browns are getting closer and closer to the company in their misery.

Florio’s pick: Rams 42, Jets 17.

Eagles in Cardinals (+6.5)

Take MDS: Jalan Hurts gave the Eagles a chance at quarterback, but I’m not sure the Philadelphia defense matches the offense of Kylar Murray and the Cardinals well.

MDS Pick: Cardinals 31, Eagles 21.

Florio’s take: Kylar Murray encounters Jaylen Hurts, the man who turned up in Oklahoma. It can be interesting, it should be fun. The Cardinals must find a way to victory.

Florio’s pick: Cardinals 26, Eagles 17.

Major in Saints (-3)

Take MDS: This could easily be a Super Bowl preview, but I don’t think it’s going to go well for the Saints, who need to be too close to pass the ball after Patrick Mahomes gives the main lead an early lead Will be required

MDS Pick: Head 37, Saint 20.

Florio’s take: The chiefs are at their most dangerous when they know that they are facing a dangerous enemy.

Florio’s pick: Head 37, Saint 2 Sain.

Browns in the Giants (-4)

Take MDS: How is the craze of 2020? Brown is flexed in prime time. He lost a heartbreaker on Monday night, but I see him comfortably taking care of the Giants.

MDS Pick: Brown 27, Giants 13.

Florio’s take: Although both lost last weekend, Brown showed that they were ready to make the move.

Florio’s pick: Brown 30, Giants 20.

Steelers in Bengals (-13)

Take MDS: The Steelers are struggling, but a trip to Cincinnati is just to get their season on track.

MDS Pick: Steelers 38, Bengals 14.

Florio’s take: If the Steelers don’t get back on track against the Bengals, they never will.

Picture of floriok: Steelers 34, Bengals 17.
