NFL Owner Net Worth: Jeffrey Lurie of Eagles, Ranked Higher Among Football World

Owning an NFL franchise isn’t cheap, so it shouldn’t be surprising that when Forbes released its “Forbes 400” list on Wednesday, a list of the 400 richest people in the United States, some of the league’s owners showed UP

In fact, nearly half of the league’s 32 franchises were represented on the list, including Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.

Lurie is tied for 319th – along with seven others, including Napster’s Sean Parker and Facebook fame – on total assets of $ 2.7 billion. That’s a lot of money!

To put some (very crazy) perspective, Lurie will be able to purchase 22,501,875 Carson Wentz jerseys.

In terms of the entire league, Lurie, which owns more than 90% of the Eagles, finished 14th, and NFC ranked second in the East.

Here’s a look at the top 5 in the NFL, including the richest owners in the division:

  1. David Taper, Panthers: $ 13 billion
  2. Jerry Jones, Cowboys: $ 8.6 billion
  3. Stan Cronke, Ramus: $ 8.3 billion
  4. Shahid Khan, Jaguar: $ 7.8 billion
  5. Stephen Ross, Dolphin: $ 7.2 billion

And here’s a potentially good sign in the Eagles Week 1 matchup with the Washington football team: Lurie is one spot ahead of Washington owner Dan Snyder among NFL owners.

If you can buy touchdowns, the Eagles are in business on Sunday.
