On SmashBoards, user Andree123 revealed that within the game’s files, or at least the current files, there are five empty slots for voice files. If this detamining leak sounds familiar, it is because it was the exact scenario after Terry Bogard was released through the first fighter pass.
So, why is this remarkable? Because only four DLC character slots are left. In other words, if the voice files have five empty slots, it suggests that one of these characters will take two voice files, indicating the gender in the character as a whole or possibly a side-kick.
Of course, there can be many other explanations, but this is what happened after the release by Bogard; There was a DLC character slot but two voice slots, which were essentially filled by male and female Baileth.
Unfortunately, even though this revelation is accurate in its conclusions, it does not diminish the candidates much. There are a lot of characters who can fit this bill.
For now, take it all – leakage and speculation around it – with a grain of salt. For Nintendo, no one has commented on it so far, and it is unlikely that it will change. However, if this happens, we will be sure to update the story accordingly.
