New Orleans Saints to meet with LSU Tigers about hosting home games

New Orleans Saints officials are meeting with LSU officials on Tuesday. Saints official Greg Bensall reported after ESPN’s Adam Shere, about the Saints’ upcoming game play at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

“LSU has been gracious and enthusiastic about hosting our future games, and we greatly appreciate their partnership,” Bensel said. “We have also discussed with the NFL the possibility of taking their home game to LSU and they are aware of the search for this option.

“Obviously, our overwhelming priority is to play our games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with a partial fan presence, but there has been no indication from the city as to when, or if it could be approved.”

Mayor of New Orleans Latoya Cantrell has repeatedly denied that saints are allowed limited fan presence due to the coronovirus epidemic.

LSU previously announced that it will have fans at Tiger Stadium this season with a capacity of 25%, with a capacity of 102,321.
