Naya Rivera hits Ryan Dorsey while walking with her son, says police


New details have emerged about the arrest of Naya Rivera in West Virginia.

The star Glee was charged with a misdemeanor domestic badault after she allegedly beat her husband Ryan Dorsey while taking his son for a walk, according to a criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE.

In the document, a Charleston cop said that after he arrived on the scene at around 9:33 pm Saturday, Dorsey said his wife "had hit him on the head and lower lip while the two they took their son for a walk on the street. "

Police had previously confirmed to PEOPLE that Rivera, 30, had been arrested and charged with a misdemeanor domestic badault after an alleged altercation with Dorsey in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

"While we will not divulge details of the incident beyond what is in the criminal complaint (accusation document), we will say that the two were discussing their son," said the sergeant. B.D. Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office told PEOPLE on Sunday afternoon, adding that Dorsey "did not require medical attention."

Rivera married Dorsey, with whom he shares the 2-year-old son, Josey, three months after suspending his engagement with Big Sean. Dorsey, 34, and Rivera first left in 2010 before parting while starring Glee .

A little more than a year after they got married, Rivera announced that she and Dorsey would be divorced.
