Actor Morgan Freeman advised those who trust him to get vaccinated against COVID-19 because he believes in science.
“I’m not a doctor, but I trust science,” Freeman said in a public service announcement he cut for Creative Coalition, a nonprofit arts advocacy group. “And I’ve been told that, for some reason, people trust me.”
“So here I am to say, I trust science and I got the vaccine,” he continued. “If you trust me, you will get the vaccine. In mathematics, it is called the distributive property. In people, it’s called caring for each other. Get the vaccine. Help us make our world a safe place for us to enjoy again. Please?”
The Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning actor, who twice portrayed God in “Bruce Almighty” and “Evan Almighty,” has lent his rich and authoritative baritone to many documentaries and specials.
Freeman also narrated ads from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. As The Daily Wire reported:
An ad released today by the Hillary Clinton campaign, the second narrated by Morgan Freeman, lists the names of false black martyrs exploited by the left through the Black Lives Matter movement to portray America as a deeply racist and hostile society toward them. .
With a gloomy piano melody that sounds like something out of a sad movie portraying the Holocaust, Clinton’s voice is processed to sound resonant and distant as she reads the names of Trayvon Martin, Dontre Hamilton, and Sandra Bland.
Freeman joins the long list of public figures who have advocated for their followers to receive one of the new COVID-19 vaccines, including Sir Ian McKellen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Martin, Samuel L. Jackson and Martha Stewart. Singer Dolly Parton changed the words of her hit song “Joline” to “vaccine” to promote them to her many fans. Singer Bette Midler told Jimmy Kimmel that she would have “tons of anonymous sex” after waiting two weeks for the vaccine.
In addition to many of the top figures in the entertainment industry, many politicians have led the charge to get the shots. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden received their second doses in January.
“Guys, I just got the second dose of my COVID-19 vaccine, and like the first dose, it was safe, quick, and painless,” Biden said. “I urge everyone to get vaccinated once it is their turn. Because only together can we save lives and defeat this virus. “

Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff were vaccinated in December.
“On the front lines of this fight are nurses like Patricia, who administered my vaccine yesterday,” Harris tweeted. “As the daughter of immigrants from Guyana, Patricia has worked tirelessly to protect and save lives. To Patricia and all the nurses fighting this pandemic, thank you. “
