More nonstop flights added to Oakland airport, this is the place Southwest added routes


Oakland International Airport is increasing its choices of nonstop flights to a document quantity for the East Bay airport, officers introduced Friday.

Southwest Airlines is including 4 new flights to Oakland, and the airport will boast a complete of 33 cities with nonstop flights in 2018.

Starting July eight, 2018, fliers can take a nonstop flight to San Antonio International Airport; On July 15, Orlando International Airport, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport may even be added to the roster of flights.

It’s not presently clear the variety of flights provided every day on every new route.

“Southwest allows millions of residents and visitors to ‘Fly the East Bay Way,’ and these new high-demand destinations make it easier than ever to do so,” mentioned Bryant Francis, the Director of Aviation with the Port of Oakland, in a launched badertion. “With over 60 destinations globally offered from OAK, the reasons to make a transbay journey to catch a nonstop flight are steadily diminishing.”
