Andrew says that the brightest regions show where the moon once flowed with magma.

He said: ‘Our eyes are pretty amazing, but sometimes it’s great to see how things look with superhuman vision.

The colors are real and represent the hidden geological history of the moon.

“I feel like this image shows colors and features in a unique way that I haven’t seen before.”

Andrew is known for his amazing astrophotography, and recently took a “unique shot of a blue moon” of the International Space Station passing through the moon.

The rare shot of the reoriented view of the station “instantly became one of my favorite shots,” McCarthy explained.

What made this image remarkable was the orientation of the ISS at the time it was taken and McCarthy’s ‘to the second’ accuracy capturing the orbiting laboratory as it skimmed the Copernicus crater on the moon, before it disappeared.

This lunar impact crater is visible with binoculars slightly northwest of the center of the hemisphere facing Earth from the Moon.

Solar panels that are usually flat on either side of the station were seen moving at different angles due to the spacewalk, adding to the uniqueness of the photograph.

But a mystery has persisted, revealed by the rocks that the Apollo astronauts brought back from the moon: Why are the moon and Earth so similar in composition?

Several different theories have emerged over the years to explain the similar fingerprints on Earth and the Moon.

Perhaps the impact created a huge debris cloud that completely mixed with Earth and then condensed to form the Moon.

Or Theia could have been, coincidentally, chemically similar to Young Earth.
