Mobile home a total loss after the Peters Creek Road fire

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – Fire investigators have not determined the cause of a fire that closed Peters Creek Road in Roanoke County on Saturday.

Crews responded around 2:15 p.m. Saturday in the 7000 block of Peters Creek Road to receive a report of a structure fire in Northview Mobile Home Park.

Peters Creek Road from Williamson Road to Barrens Road was blocked during the shooting.

Strong flames and smoke were found coming from one end of an empty mobile home. No injuries were reported.

The fire was contained in about 20 minutes. The trailer is a total loss, with damages estimated at $ 25,000, according to Brian Clingenpeel of Roanoke County Fire and Rescue.

Two mobile homes next to the main mobile home suffered heat damage.

A person is displaced from an adjacent mobile home due to the power being disconnected as a safety measure.

Roanoke Fire and EMS assisted Roanoke County Fire and Rescue with the incident.
