Missing the body of a 4-year-old Florida girl found in a pond


PUERTO ST. LUCIE, Florida – The body of a 4-year-old girl who disappeared Saturday night in Port St. Lucie was recovered overnight from a pond near her family's home.

Chelsea's body Noel was found at the edge of a pond a scuba diving equipment from the Saint Lucie County Sheriff about 27 hours after disappearing.

A US Marshal discovered something of interest in the water in a kayak before midnight.

The body of water, located southwest of Hallmark Street and Abacus Avenue, is two blocks from your parents' house.

Police said Chelsea left by the door of their house on SW Keats Street, near Becker Road, just east of Interstate 95 around 9:50 p.m. m. Saturday

Port St. Lucie police do not think anyone tried to harm Chelsea. There is a new video that the police made them believe that she left her house and got into the pond.

"It seems that the boy ran out of the house, became disoriented and ended up in the lake immediately," Port St. Lucie's boss, John A. Bolduc. "The family is very, very distressed, they lost a 4-year-old boy, that's the biggest tragedy I can think of."

Police said the video of the family's home shows that Chelsea's father ran behind of her less than a minute after she left the house.

The coroner will perform an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
