Where it leads, some “Gilmore Girls”It is possible that the fans will not follow.
Jimmy Fallon saw something quite interesting in the actor Milo Ventimigliaduring a Zoom interview for “Tonight’s show“Monday night.
After Fallon pointed it out, the 43-year-old “This Is Us” star quickly stood up and grabbed the framed certificate of her Emmy nomination with a small handwritten sign hanging from it. The sign was a nod to his former “Gilmore Girls” role as Jess Mariano, Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) bad boy ex.
“It says ‘I love Dean 4 Ever,’” Ventimiglia announced proudly, referring to Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki). Dean was Rory’s first boyfriend, whom she left shortly after Jess found his way into her heart.
“Is that rubbing it on your face?” Fallon asked about the sign, its location on an Emmy nomination certificate, and its reference to Padalecki.
“No no not at all. Jared [Padalecki] and I’m very good friends, and I made the sign for a photograph that someone was looking for online or something like that, ”the actor shared. “I made the sign, and after I did, I just said, ‘Let me keep this because this is great,’ and I literally pasted it right onto my Emmy notification that was on the wall.”
Ventimiglia has made no secret that he is Team Dean. At the 2015 Gilmore Girls meeting panel at the ATX TV Festival, he said, “I have always been the Dean of the Team. Logan [Rory’s college boyfriend] he was an idiot. ”
And why shouldn’t Ventimiglia be a fan of Dean? The guy built a car for Rory, to cry out loud. The best thing Jess did was get Rory out of the rut by suggesting that he write a book about her and her mother’s relationship.
So, okay, we’ll admit it: We Love Jess 4 Ever.
