The best thing about being a woman is the prerogative of having a little fun: on live television!
Miley Cyrus and her team paid tribute to a country icon during the eliminations of the Top 11 live at The Voice Tuesday evening.
Taking the stage in matching leopard sets, Cyrus and Ashland Craft, Brooke Simpson and Janice Freeman played Shania Twain's 1999 hit "Man! I feel like a woman."
Twain, 52 , has links to the successful reality-reality series. She served as an advisor to the competitors and judges in season 12.
Before the funny performance, Cyrus joked with her leopard jumpsuit on Instagram.
Although the looks were inspired by Twain, Cyrus and his team took a different music video from that of the singer. Twain wore a leopard coat over the top in the 1998 video that accompanied his iconic hit, "That does not impress me very much." In the "Man!" I Feel Like A Woman ", inspired by Robert Palmer's seminal video for his 1986 hit," Addicted to Love, "he crooned under a top hat.
Later during the show On Tuesday night, Freeman was removed from the Miley team.
Cyrus turned to Instagram to share his disappointment, writing, "@janicefreeman you are my star! Always. I think that America made a mistake tonight … I'm sorry, but you deserve to go back up that stage next Monday … you'll be missed! "
