The defendant and his brother were initially charged in September 2014 for tax crimes and conspiring to defraud United States after allegedly failing to properly pay taxes on $ 8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012. In April 2017, both men were charged with additional charges, including tax evasion, structuring and falsification of records. Initially, Mike and Marc declare themselves innocent of all charges.
Speaking with PEOPLE last year, Sorrentino said he was "trying to take these experiences that came to me and make them positive."
At that time, Sorrentino also stated that the accusations "do not portray me". precisely. That's all I can say for now. "
The news comes when Sorrentino is expected to meet his former castmates on the hit MTV series for a reboot called Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
