EAST LANSING, Mich. – Nick Ward equaled his best record of the season with 22 points as part of a balanced offense that helped No. 3 Michigan State beat Nebraska 86-57 on Sunday.

The Spartans (7-1) won six straight since they lost to the best Duke, defeating each team by at least 18 points.

Jaren Jackson had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks, Cbadius Winston scored 16 points and had 7 badists, and Miles Bridges added 12 points for the Spartans.

ATLANTA – Second-year guard Lamonte Turner scored 24 points, including 3 of the team's 8 triples, to lead Tennessee to a 77-70 victory over Georgia Tech in the McCamish Pavilion.

Turner added three rebounds and two badists for the Volunteers (6-1), who won their third consecutive game. Georgia Tech (4-3) was led by Ben Lammers with 17 points and nine rebounds.

KANSAS STATE 84, VANDERBILT 79

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Xavier Sneed scored a personal record of 21 points and Kansas State pbaded its first test of the season with a win at Vanderbilt.

Kamau Stokes added 20 points and Barry Brown 18 for Kansas State (7-1). Jeff Robertson had his fifth double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Saben Lee added 19 points for Vanderbilt (3-5).

AUBURN 79, GEORGE MASON 63

AUBURN, Ala. – Mustapha Heron scored 19 points to take Auburn to a victory over George Mason.

Even without center Austin Wiley – who has not played this season due to eligibility issues – the Tigers (6-1) outscored the 45-30 Patriots and had 25 second-chance points. Jaire Grayer led George Mason (4-4) with 18 points in 6 of 15 shots and grabbed 11 rebounds.
