Michelle Obama has confessed that ‘the bar I wanted to push Barack out of the window’ as she opened up about the presidential couple’s wedding.

Mrs Obama compared the choice of husband or wife to select a basketball team – saying that she had married ‘my version of Lebron’.

‘If we saw marriage as a real team, then you want your team to be the winner. You want LeBron, you know, ‘she said.

She said: ‘There were times when I wanted to push Barak out the window. And I say that because it is so, you know that emotions will intensify.

‘But this does not mean that you leave. And these periods can last longer. They can last for years. ‘

Mrs Obama, in an Instagram post on Sunday, elaborated her views, saying that marriage ‘takes a lot of work, a lot of honesty with herself and her peers’.

‘This is the only thing I have learned. He heard some things about marriage and about his 42 million followers, which you would love to hear.

Obamas will celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary on October 3, with Michelle marking the occasion of last year by saying that the couple are still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago.
