In February, Lexus announced that its V8 engine was not running low yet. The 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance filled the brand’s V8-shaped hole, and the resulting car looked like an outright winner. But now the brand is going one step further with its limited launch edition, which it launched on Friday.
However, it is important to note that this limited performance vehicle does not enormously different from what will become the production model. But the settings that has The facts for this 500 car race are beautiful and really demonstrate the impact that a handful of tweaks can have on a car. And we, the lucky ducks here in North America, will be the only ones who will have the opportunity to buy this model.
The main difference here is the exterior color scheme, which is called Incognito.. This gray shade will be exclusive to Launch Edition, and while I’m not normally a big fan of soft car hues, this color is really classy. I really don’t know how to describe it. It is almost matte in the way it absorbs light, but still maintains a beautiful, bright reflection that makes me think you could see your face reflected in it. Sit a littlewhThere is between a more traditional gray and a white. And because it is a soft color on paper, it translates beautifully into photographs. Heard it’s even better in real life.
Here are the specs and some of the big changes:
- 472 horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with 395 pound-feet of torque
- 19-inch seven-spoke matte black BBS wheels
- Bgray ultrasuede and missing to trim the seats, the doors, and center console
- SIlver ash wood trim on the steering wheel
- Serialized plate on the dash that shows which car number is yours
These models don’t have a price tag yet, but they will ship later this year, probably in the fall.
Now all Lexus needs to do is learn the value in a simplified name.
