Every headline needs to be centered on the corrupt habits of the DNC, Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation — particularly its funding of the phony file on Donald Trump. Instead, what America will get is extra anti-Trump obsession because the mainstream media continues to beat the lifeless horse of the Trump/Russia collusion conspiracy. Evidently, for the MSM fantasy is preferable to actuality.

Over the weekend, a clearly apoplectic CNN reported that Trump was “done confronting President Vladimir Putin over his country’s election meddling.” When questioned, Trump acknowledged, “[Putin] said he didn’t meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times.” Trump added, “Every time he sees me, he says, ‘I didn’t do that.’ And I believe, I really believe, that when he tells me that, he means it.” It was this sort of nuanced language that prompted the Leftmedia to fawn over Barack Obama, and but with Trump, one way or the other all of the nuance is misplaced. Notice that Trump by no means stated that he believes Putin didn’t meddle…

And there’s purpose for Trump’s reasonably cryptic response. As he acknowledged earlier, “You have President Putin very strongly, vehemently, [saying] he has nothing to do with that. Now, you are not going to get into an argument, you are going to start talking about Syria and the Ukraine.” He additionally tweeted, “Hope for [Putin’s] help to solve, along with China, the dangerous North Korea crisis.” Regardless of the truth that Russia sought to meddle within the election, one thing we’re sure has lengthy been Moscow’s observe, the U.S. should nonetheless try to keep up some semblance of a working relationship. Trump clearly understands this precedence over that of the Leftmedia and its steady anti-Trump Resistance™ campaign.

But again to that doubtful file and the Russian story on which the media needs to be centered. We now know that Glenn Simpson, head of Fusion GPS, met with Russian legal professional Natalia Veselnitskaya on the identical day she had the notorious badembly with Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner. An harmless coincidence? Why gained’t the Leftmedia, which has been so involved with Russian election meddling, trouble to dig into this attention-grabbing piece of data? Given that Fusion GPS was the agency answerable for the phony file, this badembly was most definitely not an “unrelated coincidence.” Ah, however that will imply digging into Hillary’s marketing campaign, one thing the MSM is loath to do.

On one other word, it’s now being reported that there’s proof of a second file — and this one alleges monetary misconduct by main donors to the Clinton Foundation. It would appear that this second file, additionally created by Fusion GPS, could have been the pretext of grime on Clinton that Veselnitskaya used to arrange the badembly with Trump Jr. National Review’s Andrew McCarthy writes:

My conjecture is that there are three explanations for what occurred right here, none of which excludes the others: (a) The Russians don’t perceive American political campaigns properly sufficient to understand that alleged misconduct by a donor doesn’t damage a candidate if the candidate isn’t complicit within the misconduct; (b) the Putin regime tried (unsuccessfully) to lure the Trump marketing campaign into its anti–Magnitsky Act [adoption law] effort by convincing Don Trump Jr. and different marketing campaign officers that there was a helpful anti-Clinton angle to be exploited; and (c) the Putin regime calculated that, just by taking a gathering with a Kremlin emissary on the promise of damaging details about Clinton, the Trump marketing campaign would foolishly expose itself to blackmail by Putin.

As we have now acknowledged repeatedly, Putin couldn’t care much less who gained the election. Russia’s goal was to sow mistrust within the American electoral system, and Fusion GPS evidently performed a key function.
