Welcome to our live updates of UFC 218 tonight's Little Caesars Arena in Detroit

This is the second UFC trip to Detroit, and the first event since May 17, 1996.

The headliner of UFC 218 is the champion featherweight Max Holloway (18-3) vs. Jose Aldo (26-3) Hol Loway is on an 11-fight winning streak, including his victory over Aldo at UFC 212 on June 3 in Brazil that made him the undisputed featherweight champion. Holloway was scheduled to fight Frankie Edgar in Detroit, but Edgar retired due to an injury and Aldo accepted the fight with little time in advance hoping to regain the title he once held for more than five years.

There are also a handful of fighters with local connections, including Bath & A's Cooper and Drakkar Klose of South Haven.
