Marvel’s Avengers Leak suggests new heroes and Wakanda raids

MiracleThe avengers Only a day away from its initial access, which hits three days before its standard launch in September. 4. But in the recent few weeks, there have been many (unconfirmed) secrets associated with players’ data Marvel’s Avengers Windows PC and console beta, including new heroes and a location for upcoming raids. With some recent confirmations around Crystal Dynamics’ post-launch plan, leaks are more likely to occur than before.

[Spoiler warning: This post contains partial spoilers for the Marvel’s Avengers campaign and post-launch plans]

On Sunday, Crystal Dynamics published a blog post previewing its War Table Livestream on Tuesday, September 1. The studio said it would announce a new weekend-only co-op game activity during the stream, and would provide some details on operations. Based on the blog post, operations sound like Marvel’s Avengers‘Raid version, some studios have mentioned before, but only in the passage. In a blog post, the studio announced that its first operation would launch with a new hero.

Based on a developer AMA since late July (mentioned here by Osterberg501 on YouTube), we know that Marvel’s AvengersThe first raids will launch within weeks – the AMA originally appeared on the game’s old subredit, which the mods have made private. With the operation launching a new hero, it fuels the long-rumored, seventh launch hero. Thanks to leaked details, we can make a solid guess as to who will be the first new hero, and where the raids may take place.

A YouTube video of the channel Sanders present showed him combing through the game’s code earlier this month. Along with other data-miners, he discovered a list of heroes described in the game files, including:

  • Antman
  • black Panther
  • Black widow
  • Captain marvel
  • American captain
  • Doctor strange
  • The hawk
  • Hawkeye
  • Hulk
  • Hulkbuster
  • Iron man
  • Kamla
  • Kate bishop
  • Mar-Vell
  • Mockingbird
  • Earthquake
  • Scarlet Witch
  • She hulk
  • Thor
  • The vision
  • War machine
  • Hadda
  • Winter soldier

At lunch time, Marvel’s Avengers Black Widow offers Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Kamala (aka Ms. Marvel), and Thor. The game also depicted Hulkbuster as Iron Man’s ultimate ability. We also know that Hawke will come Marvel’s Avengers Soon after launch.

Some heroes on this list suggest that Marvel’s Avengers Something similar may be an “eco fighter” system Super Smash Bros. Final. For those unfamiliar, echo fighters Thunder Looks different and may have some minor twists, but essentially serves the same function as their non-echoing counterparts – the difference between Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, or the lack thereof.

Marvel’s Avengers Iron Man may have a similar system as an alternative, with characters like She-Hulk for stepping in like a War Machine or Hulk. While it is possible that these may be entirely new heroes, with the game’s unique styles, it is also likely that they are near-perfect replicas, or have slightly smaller abilities.

There are a few reasons for this, mainly because it allows players to play the same hero as a friend – Marvel’s Avengers Only the co-op allows each hero of each team in the game. If some of these characters truly act like Echo Fighters, two friends who love Hawk could play on the same team as Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. If Echo Fighters are mostly cosmetic differences, it is probably easier for Crystal Dynamics to publish them again and again, giving players access to fan-favorite heroes like the War Machine.

For all the Eco Fighter heroes on the list, there are many notable new Heroes. Some of them, such as Vision and Doctor Strange, we know almost nothing about. But there are reasons to believe that some heroes may arrive sooner rather than later.

There are three primary heroes worth guessing about, Ant-Man, Black Panther and Captain Marvel, each with a good chance of approaching the launch.

We’ve seen Hunk Peeam (aka Ant-Man) in his own mini-teaser trailer, when Crystal Dynamics announced the game last year. We also know that he will feature in the story of the game. Players will spend some time in a base called Ant Hill, possibly the basis for Hank Pym’s operations. But there are no data mines we know of for Pym’s Ant-Man abilities, or any raids centered around Ant Hill. The three seem the least likely to launch the ant-man along with the raid, but he’s been involved ever since we’ve seen the Hank Pime-game.

Black Panther has one of the strongest cases. In the PC beta files, players reference Wakanda as well as Claw, a villain who has a strong connection to Wakanda in the comics and MCU. More interestingly, the Klaw file specifically fights “Klaw Raid” and the Klaw boss only because it refers to it as a raid in the files, which does not mean that Crystal Dynamics will call it a raid.

Wakanda seems to be a new arena for the game with new missions and objectives. A suspicious story leaked for Marvel’s Avengers An embassy for Wakanda is also suggested to open after players finish the base game. If Crystal Dynamics were to launch a hero with a raid and territory, Black Panther would naturally fit in with Wakanda.

Captain Marvel seems a strong candidate for the seventh hero of the game. One of the game’s PlayStation trophies, called “New Girl Make Good”, describes defeating Modoc (the game’s primary villain) and Cree. Carrie is the military Marvin who has a strong relationship with Captain Marvel. Cree has also not appeared in marketing for the game, suggesting that they are a secret, endgame enemy type introduced near the final boss fight with Modak. The game also has files that refer to the Cree Boss, similarly to the Claw Boss files.

Kamla Khan is a big fan of Captain Marvel. We’ve seen pictures of her childhood bedroom, complete with a giant Carol Denver poster. And during the A-Day mission, Kamala wears a Captain Marvel T-shirt. While Kamala’s style choices confirm nothing, it makes for some pretty clear foreboding.

Based on the information we have, it is possible that Captain Marvel and the cryo-centric raid will appear a few weeks after launch. Shortly thereafter, Hawke will appear – possibly with Kate Bishop, her echo. Wakanda, Black Panther and a Clavé-focused raid may then appear as the game’s first major content updates.

However, all this information comes from data mining The avengers Beta. How out-of-date betas can be, it is possible that little of it is accurate. Players should find out during more information Marvel’s Avengers War Table Stream on 1 September.
