Grand Priory, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A fatal story is being told outside the Grand Tirri, which continues in toll Texas COVID-19 in North Texas.
A married couple who were both teachers at Grand Prairie ISD have become two of the latest victims of the epidemic.
Paul Blackwell was a teacher and a football coach at Fannin Middle School.
His wife, Rose Blackwell, was a teacher at the Travis World Language Academy.
Their son, Christopher Blackwell, told CBS 11 that the couple had been admitted to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
He said he spent several days in intensive care on the ventilator as his condition continued to deteriorate.
Last week, the couple’s family consists of five children, telling their 61-year-old father and 65-year-old mother not to survive.
It was decided to discontinue life support, while the family attended an emotional goodbye.
“My two other brothers are actually in the room there in the hospital and they infiltrated my stepmother into the room with my father and, at the same time, removed both of them from the ventilator.” They had their hands on them and they both left in a minute or two, ”Christopher said. “INever seen anything like this before and seeing it is difficult to say in words.
Students have been offered counselors in two schools where these teachers were given love and respect.
They were working until he became ill, but it is unknown how he contracted the virus.
