The governor of Uasin Gishu, Jackson Mandago, has asked the leader of the National Super League (NASA) Raila Odinga to accept that he lost in the elections.

Mr. Mandago said Friday that it was time for the NASA coalition to join President Uhuru Kenyatta in the construction of the nation.

"Those who wanted a dialogue like NASA can now come for him instead of resisting because now we have President Kenyatta in power.

"There was no way for everyone to win elections and those who lost must accept and move on, NASA has tried all the ways that have not worked, let them back Uhuru," said Mandago.

The governor added that opposition leaders should accept that the president legally swore and focus on uniting Kenyans.

"Now we must move forward like a county and avoid the loss of time in political gossip," he said.

Raila sent invitations for his oath scheduled for Jamhuri's day.

The invitation published on NASA's Telegram channel on Friday declared that the swearing-in would take place on December 12, 2017.

The location of the inauguration, however, was not disclosed.

He also indicated that the guests would also be examined before honoring the controversial ceremony.
