Marouane Fellaini scored a discount goal to give Manchester United a 1-0 victory over the Young Boys in the Champions League action on Tuesday.
The victory extends to the round of 16, while the Swiss champions will finish in the bottom of Group H.
United maintained possession for most of the first half, but struggled to capitalize on their few opportunities. The best effort of the home team came in the first minutes of the game when the Marcus Rashford chip of Jesse Lingard was sent over the crossbar.
The Swiss side almost stole a goal before the break when Miralem Sulejmani connected with Djibril Sow from the left side of David De Gea's goal, only so that Sow could pass the ball past the Spanish keeper's net.
De Gea made a spectacular save in the 72nd minute when Ulisses Garcia's shot deflected several players, forcing De Gea to throw himself to his right and keep the ball away from the line.
With a seemingly even draw, Fellaini expertly connected Luke Shaw's cross to get the winner of the game in the 91st minute.
