Man wanted to interrogate in York shooting stopped after the traffic stop

The man wanted to be questioned in connection with a shooting on Tuesday that left one man dead and another injured was arrested on Friday night after a traffic stop.

The York police responded at 7:45 p.m. Friday to West Manchester Township to follow an anonymous tip from an 18-year-old Shanquay Ritter sighting.

Town officials and state police assisted with the traffic stop, and found Ritter in possession of cocaine while carrying a bullet-resistant vest, according to police.

Ritter has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver and possess instruments for the crime.

Researchers have wanted to talk to Ritter about the shooting along block 100 of East Maple Street at 5 p. m. Tuesday.

Nylik Moore, 18, was found at the scene and taken to the hospital where he died later, police said. They shot him in the trunk.

A second victim, identified as Jashan Wilson, 20, of York, was later found in the hospital. He had been transported there in a private vehicle. Police said Wilson suffered a gunshot wound to his arm.

Ritter was also required to be questioned in separate shooting incidents on August 10 in the 800 block of East Boundary Street and August 18 in the 100 block of Arch Street. like the fatal shooting of Jamere Rashan Cherry that month.
