Man and girl discovered lifeless in northeast Minneapolis home


A murder-suicide took the lives of a person and girl Sunday afternoon in northeast Minneapolis, police reported.

About three:30 p.m., officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a 911 name about an individual threatening somebody with a gun at a home on the 2000 block of Polk Street NE.

The first officers on the scene could not contact anybody inside the house, in order that they arrange a fringe. More officers arrived, together with members of the hostage negotiation staff.

While the negotiation staff tried to contact the residents, officers heard what they believed to be a gunshot coming from inside the home.

Officers entered and located a person and girl, each lifeless.

The Hennepin County health worker’s workplace will launch the names of those that died and the trigger and nature of their deaths.

The police division is not on the lookout for suspects. The investigation will likely be led by the division’s murder unit.
